Before you set out

Where do I leave the car?

Use the street parking around Elgin Street and the neighbouring blocks, and read the signs, because limits change from one end of the street to the other. Please keep driveways clear; the neighbours have been very good to us, and we would like it to stay that way. Please also keep noise down when you leave at the end of the night. Car-pooling from the surrounding suburbs is encouraged, and members often arrange lifts in the chat before a meetup.

Is the club room easy to get into?

The entrance is at street level with a short ramp, and the main room is on one level. If you have particular needs, email us beforehand and a volunteer will meet you at the door. Seating can be rearranged for anyone who needs more room or a quieter corner, and the kitchen end of the room is calmest.

Who answers the phone?

On the first Saturday, whichever volunteer is nearest the desk. On other days the phone goes to a message, and a moderator rings back, usually the same evening. If your matter is not urgent, an email gets you a more careful answer, with the right person copied in.

How quickly will I hear back by email?

Within two or three days for membership messages, and usually within a day for anything urgent about a fixture. If you hear nothing for a week, please write again; mail does go astray, and so does the occasional message to a spam folder.
