Conditions of joining
Joining the crew means agreeing to the points below. They are short, and each one exists because of something that went wrong once.
Age, risk and ground rules
Age limit
Membership and the club room are for adults. You confirm that you are 18 or older when you sign up, and at your first meetup a moderator may ask to see photo identification. Anyone found to be under 18 is removed from the roster, and their details are deleted.
Responsibility
Members take part at their own risk and look after their own equipment and belongings. The crew takes care of the club room, but it cannot be held responsible for loss, damage or a dropped connection beyond what the law requires of any volunteer group. Nothing in these conditions limits rights that you have under Australian consumer law.
Rights in our material
The guides, rule sheets, text and pictures on this website belong to the crew or to the people who made them. You may share a link or quote a short passage with credit, but please do not copy whole pages elsewhere. Pictures of members may be used only as they appear here and never in advertising for anything else.
Community rules
Every member agrees to follow the table and chat manners page. Moderators may warn, pause or remove a member who does not, and the steps are written down so that nothing is done in secret. A member who is removed may ask for the decision to be reviewed by the founder within a month.
Membership, money and the law
Membership
Membership starts when a moderator confirms your place and ends when you tell us, when you have been inactive for a full year, or when you are removed under the community rules. You may leave at any time and your details are then dealt with as described on the data page. Rejoining later is always possible, and a past removal does not follow you around forever.
No money, ever
Taking part costs nothing. There is no fee to join, no fee to enter the league, no charge for the club room, and no paid extras. The crew does not accept payments or donations, and the rewards for winning a season are nicknames on a board. Nobody may ask another member for payment for anything connected with the crew, and you should tell a moderator if someone does.
What members share
Nicknames, match results, photos taken at meetups and messages in the public channels may be shown on this site and in the chat server. You keep ownership of what you make, and you allow the crew to display it for as long as you remain a member. Ask a moderator at any time if you would like something taken down, and we will remove it as soon as we can. Please do not post anything that belongs to someone else without their agreement.
Governing law
Australian law governs these conditions, and any dispute that cannot be settled by talking should be raised with the founder first. The crew would rather mend a misunderstanding over a cup of tea than argue about it in writing.
